Pennsylvania Festivals and Annual Events
From a groundhog in February to fall foliage weekends in the mountains.
Pennsylvania's calendar starts in midwinter, with the Mummers Parade in Philadelphia, the Farm Show in Harrisburg and Groundhog Day in Punxsutawney, and builds toward a busy summer of fairs, music festivals and July Fourth celebrations in the city where the Declaration was signed. August belongs to Musikfest and the Little League World Series.
Fall is the state's high season for small-town festivals. Many of the best things to do in Pennsylvania in October are harvest fairs, apple and pumpkin festivals and foliage weekends in towns such as Jim Thorpe, while Hershey fills with antique cars for one of the world's largest car shows.
